The love of vampires continues. Lionsgate released the science-fiction thriller film Daybreakers on DVD and Blu-ray on May 11, 2010, priced at $29.95 and $39.99, respectively.
The movie, which grossed $30 million in theaters, twists the vampire legacy. Set in a future world in which vampires are the reigning population and humans are nearing extinction, the movie follows a covert group of vampires who are trying to save the human race. Written and directed by the Spierig brothers (2003’s Undead), Daybreakers features Ethan Hawke (Brooklyn’s Finest), Willem Dafoe (Platoon) and Sam Neill (Under the Mountain).
Both the DVD and Blu-ray include these special features:

- commentary with the Spierig brothers and special makeup effects creator Steve Boyle
