A&E‘s reality TV show Hoarders takes a close — sometimes too close — look at people who cannot throw anything away and end up living in dangerous situations, often making kids’ homes unsafe. The television series debuted on DVD on May 25, 2010.
Hoarders: The Complete Season One include the seven hour-long episodes of the season and more than 20 minutes of extra footage that wasn’t broadcast.
Each episode focuses on two hoarders in crisis as the show’s team of experts try to help them onto the road of recovery. It’s not an easy task, with one lady so determined never to waste anything, she has rotting pumpkins on her living room — underneath other rubbish. Season two of Hoarders debuted to more than 3.2 million viewers on A&E.
The two-DVD set was priced at $19.95.
A&E also released three History Channel documentary DVDs the same day:
Marked: The Complete Season One, which examines body markings, from prison tattoos to military tattoos. The two-DVD set also was priced at $19.95.
Ancients Behaving Badly: The Complete Season One, which offers information on such iconic, ruthless leaders as Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Caligula and Cleopatra. Two-DVD set for $24.95.
I Know What I Saw, which offers interviews with Air Force generals, astronauts, pilots and government officials from seven countries talking about their experiences with UFOs. Bonuses include outtakes and key witness interviews. DVD priced at $19.95.
