Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released the infidelity drama Chloe on DVD and Blu-ray on July 13.
Starring Amanda Seyfried of Dear John, which comes to disc tomorrow, Chloe grossed $2.9 million in a limited theatrical release.
Seyfried plays the titular Chloe, an escort who is hired by a doctor (Julianne Moore of A Single Man) to seduce her husband (Liam Neeson of Taken and Five Minutes to Heaven) to test his loyalty. Atom Egoyan (The Sweet Hereafter) directed the film.
Chloe got mixed reviews during its theatrical run. From Globe and Mail‘s Liam Lacey: “This is a high-toned erotic thriller, handled with style and some emotionally raw scenes, aiming for an effect that’s pleasingly unnerving, if not outright arousing.” To Newark Star-Ledger‘s Stephen Witty: “Thanks to its stars, it may be a while before you realize how truly artificial its premise is.”
The 99-minute R-rated movie was priced at $27.96 on DVD and $34.95 on Blu-ray.
The discs include these special features:
- commentary with Seyfried, Egoyan and writer Erin Cressida Wilson
- deleted scenes and
- “Introducing Chloe: The Making of Chloe,” also directed by Egoyan.
