New Release: Ronald Reagan An American Journey DVD

Image Entertainment released Ronald Reagan: An American Journey on DVD on Feb. 1, 2011, for a suggested retail price of $19.98. The documentary also was made available via digital download.

Produced and directed by award-winning filmmaker Robert Kline (Oliver Stone’s Heaven and Earth, The Kennedys: America’s Emerald Kings), Ronald Reagan: An American Journey is a film in Reagan’s own words taken from the U.S. President’s debates, speeches and discussions.

The Reagan Era was marked with names, triumphs and tragedy that made history and became the fabric of American life and memory: Iran-Contra; the Cold War; the Solidarity Movement and the candle in the White House window; Pan Am 103; the Challenger disaster; Beirut; and Libya.

Reagan’s two terms of office spanned the 1980s, the results of which undoubtedly made him one of the most influential presidents of the modern era. No less an institution than Time magazine named Reagan as one of the 100 Most Important People of the 20th century (and certainly deserving of a 104-minute program on DVD.

No special features are on the DVD.
