New Release: Fire & Ice The Dragon Chronicles DVD and Blu-ray

Entertainment One released the fantasy adventure movie Fire & Ice: The Dragon Chronicles to the home market on Nov. 23, 2010. The Blu-ray and DVD each carry the suggested retail price of $24.95.

A visually stunning film from Pitof, the director of Catwoman and visual effects director on such surreal-looking movies as Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children, Fire & Ice weaves the tale of the mythical kingdom of Carpia, a fantasy world of dragons, knights and magical contraptions ruled by King Augustin (Arnold Vosloo, The Mummy).

When the land’s serenity is shattered by an indestructible Fire Dragon who spreads fear and death, the daring princess Luisa (Amy Acker, Happy Town) recruits a savior (Tom Wisdom, Pirate Radio), to slay the ferocious beast.

Playing in the tradition of such recent “winged” medieval films as Eragon and Reign of Fire, the action-filled medieval adventure movie originally premiered on the Syfy channel in 2008.

No special features are on the DVD and Blu-ray.
