Infinity Entertainment released documentary Steel Gaze: An Unauthorized Story on Clint Eastwood on DVD on Nov. 23, 2010, for a suggested retail price of $14.98.
Both a five-time Academy Award winner and a five-time Golden Globe winner, Clint Eastwood has been a Hollywood superstar for nearly six decades.
Actor, director, producer, writer and composer, Eastwood has mesmerized audiences with his anti-hero performances since 1959 with his lead role in TV’s Rawhide, followed by dozens of hit films, including the Dirty Harry series and Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns. As the director of such box office hits as Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby and Unforgiven (in all of which he also starred), Letters From Iwo Jima and Mystic River, Eastwood is an equal powerhouse behind the lens.
As Eastwood is as tight-lipped off set as his macho screen personas, Steel Gaze gives viewers the opportunity to meet the real man behind the screen.
Bonus materials on the DVD are four featurettes:
- “Letters From Iwo Jima,” in which Eastwood discusses directing a Japanese cast
- “Invictus,” a behind-the-scenes look at the film about Nelson Mandela
- “Globally Renowned,” detailing Eastwood’s global celebrity
- and “Flags of Our Fathers,” with Eastwood, Steven Spielberg (War of the Worlds) and the cast talking about the movie’s powerful plot.
