New Release: My Soul to Take DVD and Blu-ray

My Soul to Take movie sceneHorror guru Wes Craven (the original A Nightmare On Elm Street) returns with his latest scare-fest, My Soul to Take, which came out on DVD and Blu-ray on Feb. 8, 2011, just in time for those who like some blood in their Valentine’s Day.

The R-rated movie, which grossed only $15 million when it was released in theaters, tells the story of the sleepy town of Riverton, where legend tells of a serial killer, the Riverton Ripper, who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. As those children turn 16, people in Riverton start to disappear and one man is the only one with any answers: Adam “Bug” Heller (Max Thieriot of Chloe), who was supposed to die on the Ripper’s last terrifying night, is plagued by nightmares of the fresh murders.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment priced the DVD at $29.98 and Blu-ray at $39.98.

Both versions include these special features:

  • alternate opening
  • alternate endings
