New Release: Love Hurts DVD

Love HurtsFeaturing an all-star cast, romantic comedy Love Hurts was released on DVD on Jan. 11, 2011, for a suggested retail price of $24.98 by Entertainment One.

That cast includes lots of familiar independent film names: Richard E. Grant (The Age of Innocence), Carrie-Anne Moss (Memento), Jenna Elfman (TV’s Dharma and Greg), Janeane Garofalo (I Am Comic) and Camryn Mannheim (TV’s Ghost Whisperer).

In the movie, Ben (Grant) goes into a tailspin after his wife of 20 years, Amanda (Moss), leaves him. Ben drowns himself in gin and refuses to get out of his pajamas, until his 17-year-old son takes over. Justin (Johnny Pacar, Wild Child) uses his teen instincts to push his father into hipper clothes, better hairstyles and looser women (including Elfman and Garofalo).

Soon, Ben’s the most popular single man in town, pursued by his nurse, his trainer and karaoke-singing twins. And, although he’s enjoying life in the fast lane, he’s unable to shake his wife entirely out of his system.

Extras on the DVD include cast and crew interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
