New Release: How to Get Ahead In Advertising DVD

Image Entertainment released the British cult film favorite How to Get Ahead In Advertising on DVD on Jan. 11, 2011.

Written and directed by Bruce Robinson (The Killing Fields), the 1989 satirical comedy has been available on DVD from MGM Home Entertainment, which last issued the movie back in 2003. A Criterion Collection DVD from 2001 also can still be found.

How to Get Ahead In Advertising stars Richard E. Grant (Love Hurts) as slick, cynical and wildly successful advertising man Dennis Bagley. All is going well for Dennis until he develops a mean case of writer’s block during an ad campaign for acne cream. Stressed and overanxious, his worries escalate until they manifest as an evil twin head growing out of his neck.

Also in the cast are Rachel Ward (star of Against All Odds and director of the recent Beautiful Kate) and Richard Wilson (TV’s Merlin).

No bonus materials are on the DVD, which carries a list price of $14.98.
