The 2010 thriller Inhale, directed by noted Icelandic filmmaker Baltasar Kormakur (101 Reykjavic), came to DVD from IFC Films on Jan. 25, 2011.
The independent film stars Dermot Mulroney (Jolene) as Paul Stanton, a New Mexico district attorney desperate to save the life of his daughter, Chloe (Mia Stallard, Love Ranch). She needs a double lung transplant, you see, but as the weeks pass without any donor prospects, Paul decides to take matters into his own hands and heads to Juarez, Mexico, where he hopes to meet with a doctor who he has heard performs transplants. He doesn’t find a physician right off, but what he does encounter is an illegal organ-trafficking ring, which forces him to decide between reporting the criminal atrocity to the authorities or saving the life of his daughter.
A DVD premiere movie in the U.S., Inhale boasts a notable troop of supporting players, including Sam Shepard (Days of Heaven), Vincent Perez (Queen of the Damned), the always-fun Rosanna Arquette (Repo Chick) and Diane Kruger (Joyeux Noel) as the troubled Stanton’s equally troubled wife.
The DVD carries a list price of $24.98.
