New Release: Inside Job DVD and Blu-ray

Inside Job movie sceneThe acclaimed documentary Inside Job, narrated by Matt Damon (Hereafter), was released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 8, 2011, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Written, directed and produced by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Craig Ferguson (No End in Sight), Inside Job analyses the global financial crisis of 2008, which cost millions of people their jobs and homes in the worst recession since the Great Depression. The documentary includes interviews with key financial insiders, politicians and journalists, including Congressman Barney Frank, former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, Financial Times associate editor and chief economics commentator Martin Wolf and former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Paul Volcker.

The film has been nominated for a 2011 Producers Guild Award for Outstanding Producer of Documentary and Writers Guild Award for Best Documentary Screenplay. It also was an Official Selection at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.

The DVD was priced at $28.95 and Blu-ray at $34.95.

Special features on both versions include:

  • deleted scenes
  • commentary with Ferguson and producer Audrey Marrs
  • and a making-of featurette.

The Blu-ray also contains more than 60 minutes of additional deleted scenes.
