The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air sceneThe sixth and final season of Will Smith’s TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air debuted on DVD on April 19, 2011, from Warner Home Video.

One of Smith’s earliest roles and definitely the show that launched his acting career, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air sitcom aired from 1990 to 1996 with Smith playing the titular character, also called William “Will” Smith.

In the show, Smith plays a street-smart teenager from Philadelphia who is sent to live with his relatives, the respectable Banks family in California. Along the way, they teach and influence each other. The show also stars Karyn Parsons (the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon), Tatyana Ali (TV’s The Young and the Restless), Alfonso Ribeiro (TV’s In the House) and James Avery (TV’s Sherri).

During the last season of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will dates the ugly sister of an upcoming comedian (Chris Rock, Grown Ups), Will and Carlton (Ribeiro) go to Vegas for Carlton’s 21st birthday, Hilary (Parsons) decides to have a baby and more. Among the other guest stars during the season are William Shatner, B.B. King, Dick Clark and Wayne Newton.

The DVD was priced at $29.98, including all 24 episodes on three discs. No special features are included on the release.
