The third season of NBC’s nerd-turned-spy television series Chuck arrived on DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 7, 2010. Distributed by Warner Home Video, Chuck: The Complete Third Season was priced at $59.98 on DVD and $69.97 on Blu-ray.
In the 19 episodes included in the five-disc set, Chuck (Zachary Levi of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel) boosts his super-spy status thanks to the Intersect 2.0 in his brain and gets a rival (Brandon Routh, Superman Returns) for the love of sexy handler Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski).
Both the DVD and Blu-ray include these special features:
- “Chuck-Fu…and Dim Sum: Becoming a Spy Guy”
- “The Jeffster Revolution: The Definitive Mockumentary”
- declassified scenes
- and a gag reel.
Out Sept. 14, 2010, Fringe: The Complete Second Season was priced at $59.98 in a six-DVD set and $69.97 in a four-disc Blu-ray set.
The Fox science-fiction TV show was created by J.J. Abrams (TV’s Lost, Star Trek) and stars Anna Torv (The Pacific), Joshua Jackson (Shutter) and John Noble (Fracture). The 22-episode season follows the FBI team further exploring the existence of an alternate universe.
Specials features on both formats are:
- “The Mythology of Fringe“
- “Fringe: Analyzing the Scene Sidebars on 6 Key Episodes”
- “In the Lab With John Noble and Prop Master Rob Smith”
- commentary on four episodes

On Aug. 31, 2010, Warner debuted ABC sitcom The Middle on DVD. The show stars Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond) as a harried middle-age mother in a middle-class family in the middle of the country.
The three-DVD The Middle: The Complete First Season set was priced at $44.98 and contains these special features:
- “Raising a Sitcom Family,” in which series creators talk about the development of the show
- “Sue’s Best Shots,” including cast and crew talking about their old school photo experiences
- unaired scenes
- and a gag reel.
No Blu-ray for The Middle.
