New Release: 3 Idiots DVD

3 Idiots movie scene

The titular morons hit the road in 3 Idiots.

3 Idiots, the award-winning 2009 Indian comedy that’s currently the highest-grossing Bollywood film ever produced, arrived on DVD in the U.S. on April 26, 2011, from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

In the spirit of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the movie revolves around a college student named Rancho (Aamir Khan). From the moment he arrives at India’s most prestigious university, Rancho’s outlandish schemes turn the campus upside down — along with the lives of his two newfound best friends (Madhavan and Sharman Joshi). Together, they make life miserable for the school’s uptight and heartless dean (Boman Irani). But it’s only when Rancho catches the eye of the dean’s sexy daughter (Kareena Kapoor) that the dean sets his sights on flunking the idiotic trio once and for all.

The winner of six FilmFare Awards in India (including Best Picture and Best Director) and a whopping 16 International Indian Film Academy Awards, 3 Idiots had a limited theatrical run in the U.S. back in December of 2009.

The DVD carries a list price of $22.98 and contains the following bonus features:

  • “Idiots in Ladakh”
  • “Aal Izz Well”
  • “100% Idiots”
  • “Making of Miss Idiot”
