Hardcore horror fans are eagerly awaiting an answer to the question: Just how scary can a movie rated PG-13 be these days?
They can find out today, because screenwriter Leigh Whannell and director James Wan are unleashing their latest scare-fest, Insidious. If those names sound familiar, it’s because they are the same creative team that brought us the breakout chiller hit Saw. The film stars Patrick Wilson (Barry Munday), Rose Byrne (Get Him to the Greek) and Ty Simpkins (who also played Wilson’s son in director Todd Field‘s challenging drama Little Children).
How successful is the duo’s newest (and de-gored) shocker, which offers a new spin on the old “family moves into a new home and experiences creepy things” pitch? Not everyone made it through the screening (!), but Movie Irv did. Watch his review of the film that’s generating some terror-ific buzz:
but your last remark is a bit off, they did that intentionally. was it a dream or was it reality?
