News: Top Gun returns to theaters and Blu-ray

Top GunTop Gun turns 25 this year, and along with a new Blu-ray/DVD combo pack arriving in stores, Paramount Pictures is re-releasing the action movie in AMC theaters on April 30 and May 2.

Starring Tom Cruise (Knight and Day), Val Kilmer (Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans) and Kelly McGillis (At First Sight), the 1986 film, which gave us the “need for speed,” will celebrate its birthday in 150 theaters in 52 markets.

Showings will be at 12:30pm on Saturday April 30 and 7pm on Monday May 2 in Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Quebec and Texas, among other areas. AMC has set up a special page for Top Gun screening tickets.

All attendees will receive a full-sized 25th anniversary Top Gun poster, while supplies last, according to Paramount.

And, at each screening, a copy of the new Blu-ray/DVD combo, which debuts on May 10, will be given away.

The Blu-ray/DVD pack comes with lots of special features, including commentary, a documentary, interviews, featurettes and music videos. We’ve got for full list here.
