Bruce and Elvis get to work in Spectacle.

MVD released the second season of the Sundance Channel hit TV show Spectacle: Elvis Costello With…, an awesome hour of music and chat hosted by music maven Mr. Costello, on Blu-ray and DVD on June 7, 2011.

The two-disc set features all seven episodes of the television series’ second season, wherein the bespectacled host shares chords and conversation with such singers, songwriters and superstars as Bono and The Edge of U2, Bruce Springsteen, Neko Case, Sheryl Crow, Nick Lowe, Richard Thompson, Allen Toussaint, Levon Helm, John Prine and Lyle Lovett.

Very cool. And the Springsteen episodes rock! (Well, the music does, at least. As an interview subject, Bruce ain’t all that engaging.)

Shot in 2009 at the storied Harlem’s Apollo Theater and Toronto’s Masonic Temple, the Spectacle season 2’s Blu-ray and DVD are priced at $39.99 and $29.99, respectively.
