Depp and Cruz get wet in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray on Oct. 18, 2011, and DVD on Nov 15.
Starring Johnny Depp (The Tourist) and Penelope Cruz (Broken Embraces), the fourth installment in the wildly popular Pirates of the Caribbean family action-adventure film franchise, opened theatrically around the world in May and has gross more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Yow!
On the same day, Disney released a Pirates of the Caribbean 15-Disc Four Movie Collection. It’s packaged in an authentic replica pirate’s chest and includes a collectible map and an iconic skull disc case that holds the Blu-ray discs and digital copies of all four Pirates of the Caribbean movies, led by the Blu-ray 3D disc and DVD of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) and directed by Rob Marshall (Nine), the PG-13-rated On Stranger Tides finds Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) crossing paths with a fiery woman from his past (Cruz) and the fearsome pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane, TV’s Deadwood) as they all race to find the fabled Fountain of Youth.
