Iggy & the Stooges – Raw Power Live: In the Hands of the Fans scene

Iggy has faith in his fans in Raw Power Live.

Clocking in at 2½ hours, Iggy & the Stooges – Raw Power Live: In the Hands of the Fans captures the re-formed Stooges (63-year-old Iggy Pop, Scott Asheton, James Williamson, Steve Mackay and Mike Watt) performing their seminal punk rock album Raw Power (originally released in 1973) in concert at the All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival on Sept. 3, 2010.

The In the Hands of the Fans part of the title refers to an online contest conducted last year wherein six fans were selected to film the Stooges’ reunion show at the festival. Following the live performance, the fans also had a chance to meet and interview the band.

Their footage is included in the Blu-ray and DVD, as well as lots of additional numbers performed by the band alongside the eight Raw Power tracks .

Billed as “part concert film, part reality TV,” the Blu-ray and DVD contain the following bonus features:

  • YouTube postings by the fans
  • interviews with Iggy & the Stooges and the fans
