The sexy 2011 independent comedy Boy Toy stars John White (Wild Cherry) as Jake, an unsuccessful — but well-endowed! — underwear model in Los Angeles who finds a lucrative new line of work as a platonic escort for women of a certain age.
Just as Jake finds himself a deep-pocketed “sugar mama” in the form of Barbra (Morgan Fairchild, The Seduction), he meets Norah (Mircea Monroe, The 41-Year-Old Virgin…), a sweet and stunning yoga instructor. And so, as Jake’s success blooms, so does his love life, leading him to the kind of personal and professional moment of truth — or possible truth — that one often stumbles upon in Southern California.
Hmmmm… if we removed the word “platonic” from Jake’s job description, it would sound like the film is tackling the kind of material that has made HBO’s Hung a notable hit. We’ll see…
