The future looks bleak for a band of post-apocalyptic survivors in The Divide.

An ensemble cast that includes Lauren German (TV’s Hawaii Five-O ), Michael Biehn (The Terminator), Milo Ventimiglia (TV’s Heroes), Courtney B. Vance (Final Destination 5), Iván González (Rich Kids), Michael Eklund (Watchmen) and Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction) stars in the post-apocalyptic thriller The Divide.

A sudden nuclear attack forces nine strangers into a small, decrepit apartment building basement for shelter. Trapped for days underground with no hope of rescue, and unknown horrors awaiting them outside, the group begins to descend into despair. Then, as supplies dwindle and tensions flare, they grow increasingly deranged and digress into a primal and increasingly dangerous state.

Directed by Xavier Gans (Hitman), The Divide generated some nice buzz at last year’s SXSW Festival before placing second at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival for Best Feature Film. The movie subsequently received a limited release to theaters in January, 2012.
