Peter Facinelli and Jaimie Alexander take it to the streets in Loosies.

The comedy-drama-romance hybrid Loosies stars Peter Facinelli (the Twilight series), who also wrote the film’s screenplay.

Facinelli plays Bobby, a skilled New York City pickpocket passing himself off as a stockbroker. Bobby has done well in his illicit work, but he tempts fate when he lifts the badge of a NYC detective (Michael Madsen, The Brazen Bull). Becoming the target of a citywide search, Bobby goes on the run when he encounters Lucy (Jaimie Alexander, Thor), a woman he once had a one-night stand with and who is now carrying his child.  Suddenly faced with the responsibilities of parenthood, Bobby must re-evaluate his life of crime and decide if he can ever settle down. Meanwhile both the cops and Bobby’s irate fence Jax (Vincent Gallo, Tetro) begin to close in from all sides.

Directed by Michael Corrente (American Buffalo) and co-starring outstanding character players Joe Pantoliano (TV’s The Sopranos) and William Forsythe (Raising Arizona), the PG-13-rated movie received a tiny run for critics in theaters in early January but is essentially premiering on DVD.
