Nymphadora Tonks, or should we say Natalia Teena (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, of course), goes musical in the rock ‘n’ roll movie Tonight You’re Mine.
Set against the backdrop of Scotland’s leading music festival, the romantic comedy follows two feuding stars, British rocker Morello (Teena) and American pop star Adam (Luke Treadaway, The Whistleblower), who are both supposed to perform at the music festival. As their banter escalates, a security guard handcuffs them together. As all their attempts to break free are thwarted, they come to realize they might not want to escape each other afterall.
The R-rated film was screened in a handful of theaters, but is basically a DVD premiere in the U.S.
Critics gave Tonight You’re Mine mixed reviews, citing problems in the script. The story does sound highly predictable. But critics applauded the two leads, and after loving Teena as Tonks, in Game of Thrones and as the gruff but lovable Ellie in About a Boy, we’ll happily check out anything she’s in.
The DVD has four featurettes in its special features menu:
- “The Making of Tonight You’re Mine“
- “Natalia Teena & Luke Treadaway”
- “The Make — Behind the Music”
- “The Costume Designs of Tonight You’re Mine“
If nothing else, Tonight You’re Mine looks worth checking out for the good music. Have a look at the trailer:
