Nucky Thompson has new challenges as he struggles to keep control of Atlantic City in the second season of HBO’s Emmy Award-winning Boardwalk Empire.
Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski) headlines the television series as Enoch “Nucky” Thompson, who’s the target of an investigation for voter fraud, has the chance of going to jail and is facing insurrection by those he considers his closest allies.
In season two, with the KKK attacking the bootleg warehouse, Nucky’s hold on Atlantic City is weakening, and many mobsters, including Arnold Rothstein (Michael Stuhlbarg, Hugo), Lucky Luciano (Vincent Piazza, TV’s Rescue Me), Meyer Lansky (Anatol Yusef, The Gathering) and Al Capone (Stephen Graham, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), are in the wings ready to take over.
The drama show also stars Michael Shannon (Take Shelter), Shea Whigham (Big Miracle), Gretchen Mol (Tenure) and the wonderful Kelly Macdonald.
As usual, HBO has packed the DVD and Blu-ray with special features. Here’s the list of what’s on both discs:
