The ladies of Wisteria Lane have bid their goodbye on TV, but with DVD, goodbye is never forever.
ABC’s long-running TV show Desperate Housewives stars Teri Hatcher (TV’s Jane By Design), Marcia Cross (TV’s Everwood), Eva Longoria (Over Her Dead Body), and Felicity Huffman (Phoebe in Wonderland) as said desperate housewives, along with Nicollette Sheridan (Code Name: The Cleaner), Vanessa Williams (TV’s Ugly Betty), Dana Delany (TV’s Body of Proof) and the late Kathryn Joosten.
During their eight highly rated seasons, the women tackled relationships, murder, betrayal and secrets, along with kids, poker and pot pies.
The five-disc Desperate Housewives: The Complete Eighth and Final Season comes with a host of special features:
- “I Guess This Is Goodbye” featurette with the cast reflecting on the full run of the television series
- “Episode 823: Finishing the Hat” commentary with creator Marc Cherry
- deleted scenes with more steamy secrets
- and bloopers.
The Desperate Housewives: The Complete Collection DVD set has 46 discs packaged in a very cool collectible replica of Mary Alice’s steamer trunk. All 179 episodes are included, plus these exclusive bonus features:
- “The End of the Lane: Last Days on Set” featurette
- “Curtain Call: The Desperate Housewives Family” with the crew behind the cameras
- “Cherry Cameo” featurette about the creator’s cameo in the finale
- “Desperately Dead” featurette looking at the more than 50 characters who were killed off in the show, including Martha Huber, Rex Van De Kamp and George Williams
