DC Comics character Green Arrow proved a hit on TV. The CW show averaged more than 4 million viewers a week in its debut season.
Arrow stars Stephen Amell (TV’s Private Practice) as spoiled billionaire Oliver Queen, who returns home five years after he was marooned on a remote island. Armed with new skills, Queen now has a mysterious agenda and a desire to stop criminals.
Katie Cassidy (TV’s Gossip Girl), Colin Donnell (TV’s Pan Am) and David Ramsey(TV’s Blue Bloods) also star in the television show, which has been renewed for a second season.
On DVD, Arrow: The Complete First Season contains all 23 episodes plus these special features:
- documentary “Arrow Comes Alive!” with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg as well as cast members talking about the modern update
- featurette “Arrow: First School/Stunt School” about the TV show’s choreographed fights and stunts
