Batman BeginsChristopher Nolan’s (Inception) acclaimed Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises trilogy, starring Christian Bale (The Fighter) as the Caped Crusader, comes with some new extras in this The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition.

As well as all three movies, the six disc set contains the same bonus material that’s in the films’ original Blu-ray discs plus three new special features and exclusive collectible memorabilia.

The new bonuses includes two featurettes:

  • “The Fire Rises: The Creation and Impact of The Dark Knight Trilogy” about the franchise’s creation, and filled with newly released footage, rare moments and exclusive interviews with filmmakers Guillermo Del Toro (Mimic), Michael Mann (Collateral), Zack Snyder (Sucker Punch), writer Damon Lindelof (Prometheus), critic Richard Roeper and others.
  • “Christopher Nolan & Richard Donner: A Conversation” with Nolan and Superman helmer Donner discussing the trials and triumphs of bringing the two superheroes to the big screen, and how Donner’s Superman influenced Nolan when he was developing Batman Begins.

The Ultimate Collector’s Edition also offer “IMAX Sequences: The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises,” showing the scenes in the original IMAX aspect ratio.

For memorabilia, the box set contains:

  • Premium Mattel Hot Wheels Batmobile, Batpod and Tumblr
  • New collectible art cards by Mondo featuring Scarecrow, Joker, Bane, Harvey Dent and Ra’s al Ghul
  • 48-page hardcover book featuring production stills and behind-the-scenes images from all three movies.

Nolan’s three action films have been released together before, in The Dark Knight Trilogy Limited Edition Blu-ray. It’s out of print, but some copies can still be found.
