Chucky is back, but only for home entertainment. The doll with a penchant for killing returns in the 2013 movie Curse of Chucky. And 25 years are Chucky was spawned, all the films are collected in the a box set oozing with extras the same day.
The red-haired plastic nightmare was first unleashed in 1988’s Child’s Play, written by Don Mancini. Mancini also wrote and directed the R-rated Curse of Chucky, the sixth film in the franchise.
Possessed by the spirit of a notorious serial killer, Chucky mysteriously arrives at the house of Nica (Fiona Dourif, TV’s True Blood) and delights her niece. After her mother dies, Nica begins to suspect the talking doll might be the key to the bloodshed and chaos.
Brad Dourif continues to voice Chucky in the film, whose premiere was for the home screen.
Both the DVD and Blu-ray/DVD Combo offer these special features:

- gag reel
- featurette “Playing With Dolls: The Making of Curse of Chucky“
- commentary with Mancini, Fiona Dourif and puppeteer Tony Gardner.
The Blu-ray adds these exclusives:

- featurette “Living Doll: Bringing Chucky to Life,” with animation company Alterian
