The lovable serial killer closes up shop in season 8 of Dexter.
Michael C. Hall (Peep World) stars as the titular character, based on the novels by Jeff Lindsay. The TV show’s final season begins six months after the end of season 7, with Dexter’s sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter, Gone) working as a private investigator and the divide between them even bigger.
During its eight seasons, Dexter won two Golden Globes and four Emmy Awards, and was named one of the best-written television series of all time by the Writers Guild of America.
The show also stars David Zayas (Skyline), Julie Benz (TV’s Defiance), Jason Gedrick (War Flowers), James Remar (Hatfields & McCoys) and Yvonne Strahovski (TV’s Chuck).
Dexter: The Complete Final Season contains all twelve episodes of season 8 in four DVDs or three Blu-ray discs.
All eight seasons are in Dexter: The Complete Series Collection, with 33 DVDs or 25 Blu-ray discs. Each set is packaged in a replica of Dexter’s blood slide box. How cool is that?
The box also contains a “Grafix: The Art of Dexter” collection of photography, fan artwork and iconography used in the series’ promotional campaigns, plus a bonus disc with extras not in the single-season sets. Among the special features are two new documentaries:
- “The Evolution of Dexter Morgan” and
- “The Code.”
