Mary PoppinsNow this is supercalifragilistic-expialidocious! The Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary Edition is the high-definition debut of this Oscar-winning family film.

Based on the book by P.L. Travers, the 1964 musical stars the brilliant Julie Andrews (The Sound of Music) as a magical umbrella-wielding nanny who brightens a cold banker’s (David Tomlinson, Bedknobs and Broomsticks) unhappy family with help from a singing chimney sweep (Dick Van Dyke, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang).

G-rated Mary Poppins won five Academy Awards, for its visual effects, film editing, the original song “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” Andrews as Best Actress and the score by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.

Both the Blu-ray/DVD Combo and the high-def digital download come with two new special features:

  • “Mary-OKE’s” highlighting popular music from the film, including “Spoon Full of Sugar,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “Step in Time” and the Oscar-winning “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” with animated lyrics so you can sing aling
  • “Becoming Mr. Sherman,” with composer Richard Sherman spending a music-filled afternoon with actor Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore), who plays the Disney song legend in the new movie Saving Mr. Banks
  • and a downloadable digital copy of the film.
