FX delivers yet another thrilling TV show with The Americans.
Keri Russell is far from Felicity in this series, playing Elizabeth Jennings, a KGB spy living in 1980s Washington. She’s married to Philip (Matthew Rhys, TV’s Brothers & Sisters), trying to appear like a typical suburban couple, complete with kids, while really performing missions for the Mother Land.
Things get complicated when an FBI agent (Noah Emmerich, Trust) moves in across the street. Meanwhile, the Jennings’ KGB handler (Margo Martindale, Secretariat) is putting pressure on them.
The Americans is the first show created by Joseph Weisberg, a writer for Falling Skies and Damages, and he hit it out of the park.
