Clive Owen (Trust) stars as a fallen warrior who rises against a corrupt and sadistic ruler in the sword-clashing action-adventure film Last Knights.

Set sometime after a “long dark period of the Great Wars,” the R-rated action-adventure film is directed by Kazuaki Kiriya and also stars Cliff Curtis (Colombiana), Aksel Hennie (Max Manus: Man of War) and Morgan Freeman (Lucy).

Released on a very limited rollout to theaters in April, 2015, the film was not received well by critics, earning a 3.5/10 rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on 25 published reviews. Manohla Dargis of The New York Times humorously referred to the flick “as square and blandly manly as an old ‘Prince Valiant’ comic strip.”
