The well-received 1998 British crime drama Croupier stars Clive Owen (Trust), Alex Kingston (Like Crazy) and Gina McKee (TV’s The Borgias).

Owens stars as Jack, a struggling writer and reformed gambler who, desperate for cash, takes a job dealing blackjack in a London casino. He is quickly drawn into the dark underworld of cheats and criminals, a world that threatens his relationship with his longtime girlfriend (McKee). A chance encounter with a seductive gambler (Kingston) leads him further into trouble as she lures him into a dangerous scheme to rob the casino where he works.

Directed by veteran filmmaker Mike Hodges (Get Carter, Flash Gordon), the downright noir-ish Croupier makes its Blu-ray debut with this Hen’s Tooth release.
