Bruce Willis (Moonrise Kingdom), Kellan Lutz (Immortals) and former mixed martial artist Gina Carano (Haywire) star in the action-thriller Extraction.
When a terrorist group kidnaps retired CIA field operative Leonard Turner (Willis), his son Harry Turner (Lutz), a government analyst who has been repeatedly turned down for field service, launches his own unsanctioned rescue operation and finally puts his combat training to the test in a high-stakes mission to find his father and squash the terrorists.
Directed by Steven C. Miller, the film also features D.B. Sweeney (Heist), Dan Bilzerian (The Equalizer), Olga Valentina (The Frozen Ground) and Lydia Hull (Empire State).
Currently available on demand, Extraction received a tiny theatrical release in December, 2015 (on the same day Star Wars: The Force Awakens opened, hysterically enough), but it didn’t make much noise with the critics. In fact, it scored a O% rating at aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, based on 14 published reviews. Wow, that’s bad…
Special features on the Extraction home entertainment release include a commentary with director Miller and co-star Lutz, a making-of featurette, extended interviews with the cast and crew, and deleted/extended scenes.
