Paris, 1830: Devastated by the betrayal and distraught over the recent death of his father, Octave (Doherty) retreats to the countryside where he meets a young widow, Brigitte (Gainsboug). They embark upon a passionate love affair, but the wounds of Octave’s previous affair creep into the relationship, consuming him with feelings of doubt and mistrust.  Plagued with uncontrollable thoughts, Octave desperately struggles with himself in an effort to avoid the tragedy of his past and find, in his love for Brigitte, the strength to believe in some kind of future…

Directed by Sylvie Verheyde, Confession of a Child of the Century played in France, Germany, Brazil and several other markets in 2012 and 2013. It’s release on disc by Cohen Media represents its U.S. premiere.
