Written and directed by John Byrum, the odd 1975 comedy-drama Inserts is a rarely seen cult favorite.

Inserts tells the tale of a once-successful silent film director (Richard Dreyfuss, Jaws) reduced in the sound era to making porn films in the decrepit mansion he refuses to leave. Trouble arrives in the form of a bootlegger-turned-mogul (Bob Hoskins, Made in Dagenham) and his desperately ambitious actress girlfriend (Jessica Harper, Love and Death).

Rated NC-17 for its explicit sexuality, the film also features the always-watchable Veronica Cartwright.

Twilight Time’s Blu-ray edition of the movie includes an isolated music & effects track and an original theatrical trailer.
