Keenan Kampa and Nicholas Galitzine in High Strung

Keenan Kampa and Nicholas Galitzine in High Strung

Real-life ballet star Keenan Kampa of Russia’s world-famous Mariinsky Ballet gives a breakout lead performance as a young dancer who has a chance encounter with a subway violinist, played by Nicholas Galitzine (Handsome Devil). Their lives quickly get entangled in the pitfalls that come with competing in New York City. With the help of a dynamic dance crew called The SwitchSteps, Ruby and Johnnie must find a way to save Ruby’s scholarship and keep Johnnie from being deported.

Featuring high-energy dance sequences from famed choreographer Dave Scott (TV’s So You Think You Can Dance), and co-starring Jane Seymour (Austenland), Sonoya Mizuno (Ex Machina), Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark), and dancer/choreographer Ian Eastwood (Breaking Through), the movie was directed and co-written by Michael Damian.

The PG-rated High Strung was released by The Orchard digitally and on demand earlier this year.
