CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media are re-issuing the first season of the seminal primetime 1980s soap opera — Dynasty: The First Season.

The first season of Dynasty begins with oil tycoon Blake Carrington (John Forsythe, TV’s Charlie’s Angels) marrying his former secretary, Krystle (Linda Evans). Krystle’s former lover, Matthew (Bo Hopkins), returns to town and causes more problems when he tells Krystle that he’s still in love with her. Blake’s daughter Fallon (Pamela Sue Martin) does not support his marriage, and chooses to marry childhood friend Jeff Colby (John James Anderson) just for her father’s benefit. And so on and so on….

The 4-disc set will contain all 13 episodes from Season One, plus special features that include Character Profiles and the featurettes “Family, Furs and Fun: Creating Dynasty.”
