The crime thriller A Kind of Murder, based on Patricia Highsmith’s novel The Blunderer, stars Patrick Wilson (Home Sweet Hell), Jessica Biel (Hitchcock), Vincent Kartheiser (TV’s Mad Men), Haley Bennett (Kaboom) and Eddie Marsan (Jack the Giant Slayer).

In 1960s Manhattan, Walter Stackhouse (Wilson) is rich, successful and unhappily married to the beautiful but damaged Clara (Biel). His desire to be free of her feeds his obsession with Kimmel, a man suspected of brutally murdering his own wife. Walter and Kimmel’s lives become dangerously intertwined just as Clara is found brutally murder, leading a ruthless police detective (Kartheiser) to believe he has found the murderer. But as the lines blur between innocence and intent, who, in fact, is the real killer?

Poorly received by the critics during its limited theatrical release in December, 2016—it garnered a 38% Fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on 13 published reviews—the film is directed by Andy Goddard.
