Starring Damian Lewis (TV’s Homeland) and Paul Giamatti (Love & Mercy), Billions: Season Two is a TV drama about power politics in the world of New York high finance.

A 21st-century examination of the profit and peril of chasing the American dream.  The television series melds the worlds of ultra-wealth, influence and corruption as personified in two highly ambitious opposing figures: hard-charging, blue-blooded, politically connected U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) and brilliant, calculating, blue-collar billionaire hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis).  Set amongst the Machiavellian machinations of New York City power politics and finance, Billions also features Maggie Siff (TV’s Sons of Anarchy) as Wendy Rhoades, Chuck’s equally ambitious wife who also happens to be part of Axe Capital’s senior executive team, along with Malin Akerman (Wanderlust) who stars as Lara Axelrod, Bobby’s fiercely loyal and street-smart wife.

The power struggle continues in Season Two. After being deftly outplayed, ‘Axe’ is upping his game and using his considerable resources to exact revenge on Rhoades. Axe’s aggressive move sends Chuck reeling as he finds himself under investigation, forced to scramble to hang on to his Office and his family. But the embattled prosecutor still has some tricks up his sleeve and it’s not long before Axe learns that money can’t buy everything – or everyone.
