The spaghetti Western comedy spoofs They Call Me Trinity (1970) and Trinity Is Still My Name (1971) make their Stateside Blu-ray debuts next week courtesy of Hen’s Tooth Video.

Terence Hill and Bud Spencer in the Trinity Westerns!

Starring Terence Hill (March or Die) as the lazy gunfighter Trinity and Bud Spencer as his portly sidekick brother Bambino, the first Trinity outing finds the siblings defending  a Mormon settlement from a land-grabbing Major and his henchmen. In Trinity Is Still My Name, Bambino tries to teach his brother Trinity how to become an outlaw, but the two wind up saving a pioneer family and breaking up an arms ring instead.

Both directed by Italy’s Enzo Barboni under the pseudonym of E.B. Clucher, the pair of comedies paved the way for Mel Brooks’s Western send-up Blazing Saddles and made international superstars out of the team of Hill and Spencer, ushering in a twenty-five year association for the two actors.

The films are presented here in a two-disc Blu-ray set in their theatrically correct widescreen (2.35:1) ratios, remastered in 1080p high definition. Hen’s Tooth issued the double-feature on DVD back in 2007 and it’s still available.

Bonus features include theatrical trailers and a photo gallery of lobby cards.
