The 2017 thriller Woodshock stars the always-game Kirsten Dunst (Melancholia).

Dunst stars as Theresa, a haunted young woman spiraling in the wake of profound loss, torn between her fractured emotional state and the reality-altering effects of a potent cannabinoid drug. It doesn’t take too long for Theresa to fall in a dangerously deep paranoid state.

Co-starring Joe Cole (Green Room) and Pilou Asbaek (TV’s Game of Thrones), Woodshock is written and directed by Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the well-known fashion designer duo behind the American luxury label Rodarte.

Executive produced by Dunst and theatrically released by A24, the R-rated movie opened on a limited theatrical basis in late September to generally negative reviews.  Aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 19% Fresh Rating based on 43 published reviews. Yikes!
