The ‘80s ninja-themed action-packed TV series The Master starring Lee Van Cleef (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly) and Timothy Van Patten (Class of 1984) returns remastered in high definition!

The television show, which ran for part of one season on NBC back in 1984 when all things “ninja” were hot, focuses on the adventures of John Peter McAllister (Van Cleef), an aging master ninja and his young pupil, Max Keller (Van Patten). The mismatched duo drive around from town to town in a custom van, helping people in need, while being pursued by McAllister’s old nemesis,

ninja Okasa (Sho Kosugi, Revenge of the Ninja).

The Master was created by Michael Sloan, a TV veteran who cut his teeth writing such high-concept genre television fare as the original Battlestar Galactica, B.J. and the Bear and The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo. Over the course of its brief run, the show featured such guest stars as George Lazenby (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service), David McCallum (TV’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E.), Bill McKinney (Deliverance) and Demi Moore (The Joneses).
