Blu-ray Release Date: Aug. 21, 2018
Price: Blu-ray $29.95
Studio: Twilight Time

Considered to be writer/director John Cassavetes’ “most mainstream” film, 1980’s Gloria is the story of the eponymous gangster’s moll (Cassavetes’ wife stunning Gena Rowlands of Another Woman fame), forced to go on the run with a young boy, Phil (John Adames), who may or may not have information that the Mob deems vital. Along the way, the initial antagonism between woman and boy develops into grudging affection, and Gloria discovers reserves of inner strength to complement her tough-gal persona.

The crime drama features a memorably lush orchestral/jazz score by Bill Conti, which is available on this Twilight Time release as an isolated track (along with a theatrical trailer.

As supplier Twilight Time prints up only 3,000 copies of each title, be sure to head over to the Twilight Time site or that of distributor Screen Archives NOW so you can put in your prebook order!
