Directed by cult favorite Don Weis and produced by Hollywood veteran Walter Wanger (Scarlet Street), The Adventures of Hajji Baba (1954) is a charming piece of exotica.

It concerns a Persian barber (John Derek, The Ten Commandments) unexpectedly landed with the mission to escort a princess (Elaine Stewart) to her wedding. Of course, the beautiful pair spars and ultimately falls in love, but not before some mad adventures involving bandits and Amazons and suggested debauchery.

Twilight Time’s Blu-ray edition of the adventure movie is highlighted by an isolated music and effects track featuring the score by Dimitri Tiomkin (The Guns of Navarone).
