Online streaming service OVID.tv announced last week that it will be adding films from two more distribution companies to its growing library of documentaries, social issue films and arthouse features.
The new films will be coming from New York-based Oscilloscope Films and Metrograph Pictures.
The eight other companies represented in the OVID.tv library, which is approaching 450 titles, includes Bullfrog Films, The dGenerate Films Collection, Distrib Films US, First Run Features, Grasshopper Film, Icarus Films, KimStim and Women Make Movies.
The first four titles from Oscilloscope went live on Friday, June 21. There were the documentaries After Tiller, The Kill Team, What Our Fathers Did and If A Tree Falls.
In July, Prarie Trilogy from Metrograph will be released.
Also coming in July will be new titles from upcoming OVID.TV partner Kartemquin Films.
OVID.tv is currently available on Apple TV, Apple iPad, Apple iPhone, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Android devices. After a free introductory 7-day trial, customers in the U.S. and soon in Canada (fall 2019) are able to access OVID for $6.99 per month, or $69.99 annually.
