MPI continues to roll out stylish Russian large-scale science fiction-themed films following last year’s release of the popular Attraction 2: Invasion (a sequel to 2017’s popular Russian sci-fi action thriller Attraction) with Spacewalker, directed by Dmitry Kiselev and based on the true story of the first ever astronaut to complete a spacewalk.

In the heat of the Cold War, the USSR and USA compete for supremacy in outer space. Both superpowers race to be the first nation to have a man complete a spacewalk. No price is too high and no risk is too great.

To set off one of man kind’s most ambitious missions, the USSR pair the unlikely duo of a seasoned war veteran, Pavel Belyayev (Konstantin Khabenskiv), and a fearless test-pilot, Alexei Leonov (Evgeniy Mironov). Without proper testing, and inside a tiny spaceship, the two astronauts launch into the unknown to take on what no man has done before…

On Blu-ray and DVD, the unrated sci-fi historical drama is comes with two audio track options: an English-dubbed version and one in Russian with English subtitles.
