Based on the western comic book, Jonah Hex was released on DVD and Blu-ray on Oct. 12, 2010, from Warner Home Video.
Not nearly as popular at the box office as other comic book movies, with only $10.5 million gross in theaters, Jonah Hex stars Josh Brolin (No Country For Old Men, The Goonies), Megan Fox (Transformers) and John Malkovich (The Great Buck Howard).
In the PG-13 action movie, Brolin plays Hex, a scarred drifter and bounty hunter whose one friend, Lilah (Fox), has scars of her own from her life in a brothel. Hex’s past catches up with him when the U.S. military offers to wipe out the warrants on his head if he hunts down dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull, played by Malkovich. But Turnbull, Hex’s oldest enemy, is gathering an army of his own and planning to unleash hell.
The DVD will be priced at $28.98 and include deleted scenes.
The Blu-ray, priced at $29.99 , is a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack with digital copy. The Jonah Hex Blu-ray includef these special features:
- deleted scenes
- “The Inside Story of Jonah Hex” featurette
- and “The Weird Western Tales of Jonah Hex” featurette.
