New Release: Ladies & Gentlemen… The Rolling Stones DVD and Blu-ray

Eagle Rock issued the long-awaited DVD and Blu-ray editions of the 1973 concert film Ladies & Gentlemen… The Rolling Stones on Oct. 12, 2010, for the suggested retail prices of $14.98 and $19.98, respectively.

Directed by Rollin Binzer, Ladies & Gentlemen… was filmed in Texas in 1972 over four nights of The Stones’ Exile On Main Street U.S. tour. The movie premiered at the Ziegfield Theatre in New York in April, 1974.

The lineup for the tour included Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor, as well as sidemen Bobby Keys (saxophones), Jim Price (horns) and Nicky Hopkins (piano).

Showcasing one of the most sought-after Rolling Stones concert performances, the movie has been fully restored and remastered from the original film print and multi-track audio masters.

Bonus features on the DVD include tour rehearsal footage from Montreux, plus two interviews with Mick Jagger; one from a 1972 Old Grey Whistle Test show, and one filmed this year.

The release of Ladies & Gentlemen… follows the highly successful CD reissue of Exile On Main Street in May 2010 and the Stones In Exile DVD release from Eagle Rock in June. The Oct. 12 release was followed shortly after by a deluxe edition box set with additional bonus materials and memorabilia, carrying a list price of $99.98.
