The Pillars of the Earth movie sceneTV mini-series The Pillars of the Earth, which aired on Starz, arrived on DVD and Blu-ray on Nov. 23, 2010, through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Based on the book by best-selling author Ken Follett, The Pillars of the Earth stars Ian McShane (TV’s Deadwood), Matthew Macfadyen (Robin Hood), Eddie Redmayne (The Other Boleyn Girl) and Hayley Atwell (The Duchess). The drama mini-series weaves a number of love stories against a backdrop of war, religious strife and power struggles that tear lives and families apart in 12th century England.

The 400-minute mini-series was priced at $59.95 on DVD and $69.95 on Blu-ray. Both versions have three discs and include these special features:

  • making-of featurette
  • visual effects progression
  • main titles progression.
